EDI Technical Account Manager
- Hybrid
- Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands
Job description
Here at Fashion Cloud, we transform the fashion industry and support our customers through our solid base of software products. We are seeking an EDI technical account manager to assist us in growing and maintaining our web platform.
What it's about
We are changing the fashion wholesale industry with the innovative products that our customers love. As a platform, we connect with brands and retailers to receive and send flawless data. Together with your team, you do everything to ensure that data integrations run efficiently and that we systematically improve our data quality. Account managers, engineers, and product managers are at your side to set the course for a smooth data flow.
In your day-to-day work you’ll have the following responsibilities:
Collaborate with your growing team of high-potential specialists, handling EDI connections and ensuring seamless data exchange between brands and retailers.
Onboard new brands onto our EDI platform. This means digging into their technical setup, understanding how their data is structured, and configuring the right mappings and transformations to fit our internal systems.
Provide technical support by solving integration challenges — from weird edge cases in order documents to debugging failed transmissions — all requiring a solid grasp of EDI standards, protocols, and our system’s architecture.
Drive projects, whether it's automating validation checks, expanding our supported EDI message types, or rethinking how we handle errors. Got an idea? Run with it.
Improve data accuracy and completeness; we collaborate closely with brands to fine-tune their EDI feeds, ensuring that orders, invoices, and stock levels are reliably and consistently shared.
Job requirements
What you need to bring with you:
You have experience in customer-facing roles and/or project management — you know how to navigate stakeholder needs, juggle priorities, and keep communication flowing.
Solving puzzles with complicated datasets gets you genuinely excited — you enjoy digging into data quirks until things finally click.
You communicate clearly and positively, whether it's over Slack, in meetings, or when writing documentation.
You take pride in your work and have an eye for detail. Your middle name is Sherlock Holmes — you don't just fix errors, you want to know why they happened.
You’re fluent in Dutch and English. Comfortable switching languages mid-sentence? Even better.
You laugh. Several times. Daily. :)
Bonus points if you’ve worked with EDI standards like EDIFACT, ANSI X12, or XML/JSON-based exchanges, and protocols like SFTP, AS2, or API integrations — but if not, you're eager to learn.
Experience with data transformation tools, SQL, or scripting (e.g., Python) is a big plus.
You’re proactive — you don’t wait for problems to land in your lap. You see something off, you investigate. You think a process could be smoother, you bring it up.
Why you should come on board:
We have a humorous mix of developers, fashion lovers and other geniuses working together. You'll get to work on improving complex projects with a smart, caring team.
